Cancellation and postponement of activity

The developing situation in relation to Covid-19 means we continue to find ourselves in unprecedented times. The well-being of students, staff, volunteers and officials involved in BUCS Competition is of the utmost importance to us.

After consultation with NGBs and members, and bearing in mind advice from the UK Government, we have suspended all BUCS sporting and non-sporting activity for the rest of the academic year 2019-20.

BUCS staff will continue to operate as normal, but the office will be closed. Please contact staff via their email address on the staff section of MyBUCS. If you are unsure who to contact, please email us at info@bucs.org.uk. Unfortunately, at this time, the landline office phone numbers will not be answered.

The events listed here have been cancelled or postponed. Where an event is postponed, the current intention is to run the event at a later date. Further information relating to these events will be released as soon as possible.

Leagues and knockouts

The decision was taken on 27 March 2020 to end the BUCS league and knockout programme prematurely on Wednesday 18 March and to apply promotion and relegation where possible based on the tables at this date. See here for more detail.

Annual conference

We are considering the options with regard to BUCS Annual Conference due to be held in July and will provide an update soon.

We appreciate how difficult this situation is for our members and thank you for your patience and understanding in working with us to take the safest course of action for you and your students.

We will continue to keep staff, students, volunteers, officials and partners as up to date as possible with any further decisions we make.
