BUCS Super Rugby to be shown LIVE on TV 05/02/2018

From this Wednesday, the pinnacle of university rugby in the UK, BUCS Super Rugby, will be shown LIVE on television channel FreeSports.

A 100% sport focused channel, FreeSports is available on Freeview HD channel 95 – and also on Sky Channel 424, FreeSat 252, TalkTalk 95 and BT Vision channel 95.

The first match to be featured will be Loughborough vs Cardiff Met this Wednesday 5 February, KO 7.00 pm with broadcast starting at 6.45 pm.

BUCS Super Rugby has now seen almost two seasons of regular, weekly live streaming of matches thanks to Rugby Vertical.

With the league featuring the highest standard of university rugby in the UK, and facilitating an alternative athlete pathway into the professional game, the move to TV opens up an exciting chapter in expanding coverage of university sport.

Unfortunately this move to TV does mean that matches won’t be live streamed on Facebook or YouTube – however, they will be made available online in their entirety after the final whistle. You can still catch all the updates on BUCS Super Rugby twitter account or via #BUCSSuperRugby
The four matches that will be featured on FreeSports include:
- Rd 15: Loughborough vs Cardiff Met
- Rd 16: Exeter vs Bath
- Rd 17: Durham vs Northumbria
- Rd 18: Leeds Beckett vs Northumbria
Enjoy watching BUCS Super Rugby on your telly this week!
