Women’s lacrosse has been well established with the BUCS programme whilst Men’s Lacrosse is relatively new. It is one of the fastest growing sports particularly on the men’s side. Teams compete in a league programme throughout the season from October to February with their league position determining whether they take part in the Championship, Trophy or Conference Cup. LUSL currently runs a Mixed Lacrosse league that plays by the rules of the Women's game.

The Lacrosse Sports Advisory Group provides technical and sport specific advice to the BUCS Office and works with it to develop a strategy for the sport. Click here to view the membership of the groupClick here to view the BUCS Lacrosse Strategy.

The BUCS Development Team works in partnership with The Home Nation Sport Councils and with key Lacrosse partners and stakeholders in the HE sector. The aim is to provide students and members with development support and access to coaching, workforce and volunteering opportunities, participation programmes, NGB interventions and offers, disability sport initiatives plus funding and bursary opportunities. Information on current interventions and opportunities can be found under the 'Get Involved' tab to the left hand side of this page.
