SAG Member Bios

Chair - Steven Johnson
Steven attended Birmingham University and was captain and secretary of the archery club and remains passionate about the sport and university archery. Steven has been advising BUCS for a number of years as a member of the sports advisory group.
 
Indoor Technical Delegate - Kieran Dexter
Kieran is an alumni of MMU Cheshire. He stepped in last year as technical delegate at BUCS Indoor last year due to the his predecessor having work commitments. He is a member of the national tournaments field party and also a Regional level judge.
 
Outdoor Technical Delegate - Richard Anderson
Richard is a Loughborough alumni, he has a long experience of assisting with the BUTTS and BUCS events previously. He is also a member of the ArcheryGB National tournaments field party. He wants to see more involvement with novices at the outdoor championships.
 
Disability Advisor - Nicola McCullogh
Nicola is a alumni of Durham and Northumbria. She is a level 2 archery coach and has a strong experience of interaction with disabled archers. She wants to increase the particiption of disabled archers in university clubs and at the BUCS competitions.
 
Performance Advisor - Alistair Whittingham
Alistair is an Edinburgh alumni and still coaches the Edinburgh team. He is coach for many top level archers in the country and abroad. He attended the last University world championships as the compound coach for GB and brings a huge wealth of experience and influence to the group.
 
Participation Advisor - Bethany Woodcock
Bethany is a Huddersfield Alumnus now at York. She has been the treasurer of the NEUAL league and has strong links with Archery GB. Last year Bethany won the ontarget Young Volunteer of the Year Award.
 
Communications Advisor - David Williams
David is a PhD student at Southampton. He has been involved with archery for 4 years and assisted with BUTC 2014. He is a level 1 coach and the only SEAL archer to be on the SAG in the last 6 years. He wants to enable closer collaboration between Universities to help smaller university clubs.
