Information for administrators, captains and coaches

As part of the ongoing work to develop Hockey in the university sector, BUCS have introduced compulsory affiliation for all university hockey clubs.

This process will be hosted by the England Hockey affiliation website, but must be completed for all English, Scottish and Welsh clubs playing in the BUCS leagues. There are no charges to affiliate to the BUCS leagues. The relevant data will then be shared with both Scottish Hockey and Hockey Wales, as well as England Hockey and BUCS itself.

The exact affiliation window is to be confirmed, but will go live in early October and will close at the end of November.

The key administrator for every hockey-playing institution will be emailed at the start of October with your institutional log-in details for the affiliation website. This log-in will allow you to register all your clubs/teams at the same time.

The link to the affiliation website is here

The guidance document from last year sets out clearly the kind of information that will be required from each section, and we suggest you gather as much of this as possible before starting the process. Please note, an updated version of this for the current season will be released at the end of September.

For any English teams who play in both BUCS and any of the England Hockey weekend national or regional feeder competitions, you can complete your affiliation for both competitions at the same time using the same log-in. Affiliation for the England Hockey leagues still carries a (University-discounted) fee that must be paid as part of this process.

Affiliation for BUCS competitions is free.

If you have any questions or clarifications, please contact Greg Sturge in the BUCS office.

If you appear to have any technical issues with the affiliation website, then please contact Joe Daniel at England Hockey.
