What funding or bursaries can I apply for?

Sport England and other organisations have a variety of funding pots available to university clubs to support the development of an environment in which more people are physically active and play sport.

Small Grants

Sport England's Small Grants Fund uses Lottery funding to make awards of £300 - £10,000 to help more people play sport.

Take a look at the Small Grants pages on Sport England's website where you can find a step-by-step guide through submitting an application and other guidance documents to help you tailor your application to give it the best likelihood of success.

You can find out more regarding Sport England's different funding pots by visiting this page and can find out which funds are currently open for application here.

Cash for Clubs is also available. This is a funding scheme which offers four tiers of grants at £250, £500, £750 and £1000. Visit their website for more information.

The Funding Central website might also be useful, listing thousands of funding and finance opportunities for sport organisations and social enterprises throughout England.

You might also find that your county sports partnership has funding available to support your efforts to increase the number of students taking part in sport and physical activity. Visit the CSP Network pages for more information.
