Get Involved

BUCS' ultimate objective is to use sport to enhance students' experience at university, supporting institutions in providing a variety of different opportunities to make sure there really is something for everyone.

Getting involved in a new sport via social sessions or more formalised intramural opportunities is now easier than ever, with universities across the country running more and more social and recreational sport programmes for students.

Sport can be fun, sociable and is a great way to keep fit...

The BUCS Sport Development Team are working alongside National Governing Bodies of sport and universities to provide students with the chance to try different sports on a social level whilst at university.

If you are a member of staff at a university interested in developing any of the sporting offers outlined in the Get Involved sections below, please contact the relevant BUCS Sport Development Manager via the contact details available on the respective sports' Get Involved pages. If you are a student wanting to get involved in any of these sports, make sure you check with your university's sport department, SU or AU first to see if it is already offered and if it is not, let them know you are interested!
