How long have you been participating in your sport?: 10 Years

Why did you start participating in this sport?: Through a family friend

Past records and Performances:
In 2011 I was shortlisted for the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games, although not being successful it gave a flavour and additional ambition to thrive for more and to represent my country one day. The season of 2012/13 was a successful one for the team I played in. We reached the final of Greenacres Master's U21 and Forfar Ladies Tour. We won the Inverness Highland International U21 and finished fourth in the Scottish Junior Championship. These results exceeded our expectations of the season.

The season of 2013/2014 was highly successful for the team I played in. 3 out the 4 under 21 competitions we played in, we reached the final, two of which we won, therefore winning the first ever Asham U21 competition due to accumulating the most amount of points throughout the 4 competitions. We also gained ourselves a respectful silver medal after successfully playing our way to the Scottish Junior Championship final.

Alec F Torrance and Irene Torrance (adopted grandparents) and their son John Torrance (Uncle Josie), Gran and Papa T and Uncle Josie have encouraged me from since I first had a taster of curling through my primary school (Quarter Primary). They encouraged me to take the sport up, then to join our local curling club, Hamilton and Thornyhill. Papa T coached jrn teams at world levels and also coached at the 1998 winter Olympics in Nagano.

List your hobbies and/or special skills: Swimming, walking, hockey and socalising with friends

Other points of interest about yourself?: I am committee member of Avondale Young Farmer's, where this year I took part in my first ever concert although being a member for 5 years. For being on stage for the first time it was a fantastic experience - we won the bet concert in Lanarkshire and also took top spot at Lanarkshire talentspot, where we then went through to west area at the Armadillo where we won the competition which was amazing! As well as this I also took part in the drama competition where the team took first place at Lanarkshire and also West area.

As a part time job I lead children's parties where we play with the parachute, space hoppers and ball games.
