Go Ski Go Board

Get Involved

Snowsports England GO SKI GO BOARD programme is here to help university students get on the slopes without breaking the bank. All levels and experience are accommodated and the price you see is the price you pay – no hidden extras for equipment, clothing, lift pass or instruction.

All participating clubs, dry slopes and indoor snow centres have university packages readily available.  GO SKI GO BOARD University packages are based on 6 hours of instruction or slope time split over a number of weeks and are available for multiple disciplines including Skiing, Snowboarding, Roller Skiing, Race and Freestyle.

The GO SKI GO BOARD journey can start at one of four levels;

• TRY: A one off taster aimed at people new to skiing/snowboarding

• GET: Beginner sessions to help build a solid foundation of fundamental skills

• GO: Development sessions to help refine technique

• JUST: Recreational social sessions to take part with like-minded people

I’m a University student looking to get involved:

Most universities have an established Snowsport club; this can be found through the GO SKI GO BOARD website Find My Nearest... search. By joining the club you will be given the chance to learn - if you're a complete beginner! The club will give you the opportunity to compete against other universities or simply to take part in the university club holiday. University Snowsport clubs are renowned for having one of the best social scenes and being the biggest clubs at their University!

No Joy in finding your club? - Next Steps

1. Find out if your university has a Snowsport club that is part of the GO SKI GO BOARD programme by entering your university postcode into our Find My Nearest... search

2. No luck? Try seeking out the Snowsport club stand at your Fresher’s Fair (and telling them about GO SKI GO BOARD while you're there!)

3. Still haven't found them? Then you should contact your University Athletic/Students Union for further info.

4. Still no university club? Why not set one up? Snowsports England can help you! Get in touch with them for more info!

I am part of the University Snowsport club committee:

1. To get your club registered simply affiliate to Snowsport England and sign up to the GO SKI GO BOARD website.

2. Snowsports affiliation is made up of a support package tailored to your club’s needs which will help the club grow.

3. Have a look at this case study from Salford University Snowsport Club:

"Here at Salford University Snowsport Team we decided to use GO SKI GO BOARD when we wanted to try and increase our membership numbers from 20. Snowsport England gave use all the resources we could ever want! As well as guiding us through Sportivate funding applications so we could reduce the cost of the 6 weeks of lessons even further as the slope itself gave us a great rate to start with through the GO SKI GO BOARD programme. We now have over 100 members." Joe Woods, Salford University Snowsport Club Chairman.

For more information on developing snow sports at your university or for universities outside of England who would like to discuss alternative opportunities please contact Amy Seaman, BUCS Sport Development Manager.
