Indoor Championships

BUCS and British Rowing work in partnership to support a series of regional indoor rowing events hosted by universities across the UK. This is the University Indoor Rowing Series (UIRS). Eligible times set within the series qualify for the BUCS Rowing Indoor Championships.

British Rowing and BUCS (small)

Applications are open for institutions wishing to host part of UIRS 2017. To be eligible to host an event a designated Event Organiser must complete the online SurveyMonkey application by following the link below. BUCS and British Rowing welcome applications from all institutions. UIRS 2017 will run from Saturday 4th to Sunday 26th November 2017 (inclusive).

Applications will close at 23:59 on Friday 7th July 2017.

Successful hosts will be announced on Tuesday 25th July on both the BUCS and British Rowing websites.

BUCS Rowing Indoor Championships

To be eligible for the BUCS Rowing Indoor Championships competitors who participate in the UIRS must be entered on the BUCScore entry system before the entry closing date. Further details will be contained in the entry information available on this webpage in September 2017.

Entries into the BUCS Rowing Indoor Championships are managed by a competitor's athletic union / students' union. Competitors are encouraged to liaise with their athletic union / students' union regarding entry into this competition.
