Para-Rowing

BUCS rowing is an inclusive competition.

Before a student is able to compete as a disabled athlete they must be classified. For more information about the classification process please contact Ben Jessup, or find out more at British Rowing.

British Rowing's Applying for Adaptive Classification document provides advice on the classification process. A document giving general information about disability classifications and sport can be downloaded from the Disability Sport page.

Classification is NOT necessary to just take part in rowing or to join a university club. If you, or your university club need more information about how to make sessions more inclusive please contact Ben Jessup.

If you are just starting out in rowing and would like to find out more information, the British Rowing Rowability programme offers great opportunities across the country. Click on the link on the right for more details of what is happening in your area.
