Adaptive Rowing

BUCS rowing is an inclusive competition.

Before a student is able to compete as an adaptive or para-rower they must be classified. For more information about the classification process please visit British Rowing.

British Rowing's Applying for Adaptive Classification document provides advice on the classification process. A document giving general information about disability classifications and sport can be downloaded from the Disability Sport page.

Classification is not necessary to just take part in rowing or to join a university club. If you, or your university club need more information about how to make sessions more inclusive please contact Hannah Webber, Disability Sport Officer at the University of Nottingham and Chair of BUCS' Disability Sport network.

If you are just starting out in rowing and would like to find out more information, visit British Rowing's Adaptive Rowing webpages.
