In April of 2013 a new partnership with Sport Wales was confirmed with an investment of £90,000 over three years to drive participation and development outcomes across the HE sector in Wales.

Since April the Sport Development team has met with Sport Wales and a number of Welsh NGBs to outline the objectives of the partnerships and an audit has been conducted to benchmark provisions in Welsh institutions.

BUCS Wales Workforce Summit

The first BUCS Wales Development event was held at Cardiff University on the 9th of May 2014.

With a workforce theme the day gave national partners from across the UK the opportunity to explain their role within the Higher Education landscape and the support they can offer to welsh institutions. Along with some case studies from English based universities
