Working in partnership with British Gymnastics and Sport England, BUCS Development team has supported the development of a specific offer for higher education Gymnastics.

British Gymnastics is working in partnership with BUCS to create more opportunities for students within Higher Education to participate in gymnastics and trampolining regardless of ability or previous experience.

For the 2019-20 academic year British Gymnastics are looking to increase the number of institutions they are working with on their Student Enrichment Programme. This is the sixth year the Student Enrichment Programme has been running in universities. The aim of the Programme is to widen the offer and give students the opportunity to try out gymnastics and trampolining irrespective of ability .

The dedicated Student Officers at those universities will promote, increase and monitor participation as well as gain access to the 'Gymnastics for All' resources and activities bringing variety to university gymnastics sessions.

Expressions of interest for Student Officers are now closed for academic year 2019-20.

Student Officers that have already been trained up can continue with their roles if they are still studying at the university and British Gymnastics will continue to offer them support. If universities decide to re-enrol onto the programme, they will still receive the following benefits:

• Recognised Environment status which allows British Gymnastics coaches to deliver under their British      Gymnastics insurance within the registered university.

• Access to British Gymnastics activities: GymFit, GymChallenge, TeamGym, Aerobics, FreeG.

• Access to British Gymnastics resources: Adult Gymnastics Support Guide, events guide, Inclusion guide.

• Partnership team support.

• Access to perform at British Gymnastics events: GymFusion, local university competitions and festivals.

• Access to Inclusion support such as local workshops.

• Access to volunteer at British Gymnastics events: GymFusion, local university competitions and festivals.
