BUCS TEAM ENTRIES 2019-20 – NOW OPEN 17/04/2019

BUCS TEAM ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN FOR 2019-20 INCLUDING PROVISIONAL LEAGUE STRUCTURES RELATED TO CYCLE ONE OF SPORT REVIEW

OPENING OF TEAM ENTRIES FOR 2019-20 BUCS LEAGUE SEASON

Team Entries for the 2019-20 BUCS League Season are now open, with the exception of American Football and Cricket.

Institution Administrators are invited to begin entering their teams directly onto the new BUCS Platform. Specific information about the new platform, including guidance and support tools, can be found HERE.

Team Entries for American Football and Indoor Cricket will open in June, this is to allow BUCS the opportunity to fully review these programmes ahead of the 2019-20 season. Outdoor Cricket entries will open in January 2020, similarly to previous years.

Team entry fees have been increased by the standard 3%. The only exception to this is Ultimate, which has increased its entry fee to £200 for both the Men’s and the newly adopted Women’s league competitions. This increase has been agreed in consultation with UK Ultimate.

League entries will close on Friday the 10 May at 23:59pm

SPORTS REVIEW – CYCLE ONE - RE-PUBLICATION OF THE PROVISIONAL LEAGUES

Following the publication of the provisional leagues associated to the Sport Review Cycle One implementation (found HERE),  members were invited to review all structures and feed back into the BUCS office any points of concern; especially in relation to any automatic promotions that had been applied.

On consideration of that feedback, BUCS will now be releasing updated provisional league documents for each sport. To view the documents for each sport, please click the following: Men's and ICG Women's Hockey, Women's Lacrosse, Women's Rugby Union & Women's Table Tennis. Where institutions have declined automatic promotion, the next eligible team has been selected to fill the vacant position. This is again based on the mechanisms used to facilitate the building of the initial leagues (a link to which can be found HERE).

It is important to note that these league structures are live documents, and are correct as of the time of publication. They are subject to change based on ongoing conversations throughout the league entry process. Any institutions likely to be impacted by any further changes will be contacted directly by the BUCS Office.

Once the deadline for the league entries has passed, the BUCS office will be able to build the provisional leagues structures which will be published on Wednesday May 29 to facilitate further member feedback for the 2019-20 season.
