Brunel University London is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and to celebrate its sporting history, and as an demonstration of its commitment to sport moving forward, 50 sport scholarships have been awarded to the university’s most talented athletes.

The range of sports covered in the scholarship programme is vast, demonstrating Brunel's ability to attract athletes from various sports. This will undoubtedly enhance our reputation as the choice University for elite athletes and boost our performances in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues and individual championships.

The Sport Scholarship Programme is designed to benefit elite performance athletes by supporting their academic study and sporting profession simultaneously with a support package based around on campus services, access to world class training facilities, and financial awards ranging from £500 up to £2,000.

Out of this year’s 50 scholars, four students were selected by the Mo Farah Foundation as Academy Scholars. The Mo Farah Foundation partnership with the Brunel scholarship programme is now in its third year and continues to develop and enhance the support service to promising young athletes with the combination of advice, guidance and practical support that they need to fulfil their potential.
