Shortlist announced for the 2014/2015 BUCS Awards 03/06/2015

British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) is pleased to announce the shortlisted candidates for the 2014/2015 BUCS Awards.

The Awards recognise outstanding sporting achievements by student athletes in the Higher Education (HE) sector, in addition to the contribution of unsung heroes, coaches and volunteers.

The BUCS Awards were first started in 2008 and with each year, BUCS receives an increasing number of nominations as well as a continued increase in the calibre of nominees. Over 100 nominations are submitted by BUCS member institutions this year, with shortlisted candidates and winners selected by a judging panel headed by BUCS Chief Executive Officer Karen Rothery.

“The standards of performance achieved by individuals and teams and the development of clubs and participation opportunities, for students and by students, is truly impressive,” explained Karen.

“This combined with the input from volunteers, coaches and staff, make HE Sport the success it is today.”
