Description

British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) is the national governing body for HE sport in the UK. As a membership organisation BUCS delivers both sport competition and a wide range of sport development opportunities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative individual to join our team to assist with the delivery of our Tennis competition programme. Offering the chance to deliver national events, coordinate publicity for university tennis, support our national league competition, and do all this in close partnership with the LTA, this role is a great opportunity for a tennis-passionate individual looking to drive forward university tennis and their sport industry career.

We are seeking someone with initiative, who is efficient, has good attention to detail and can work both independently and as part of the wider Delivery Directorate team. The role will be integral to delivering the strategy for University Tennis across the UK.

The post is currently fixed term to 31 December 2021, however this could be extended subject to continued funding.

Successful delivery of this role will require collaboration with members and with the LTA to raise the profile of the programme, while delivering high quality events throughout the competition structure, and developing the offer to best meet the needs of students and members.

The role is advertised as based in London. However, we would be open to a conversation at interview about flexible working and how best this could be accommodated. While there is an ongoing requirement to visit the London office our commitment is to hire the best candidate for the role.
At this time, due to the current Covid-19 situation, all BUCS staff are working from home.  The appointed candidate would need to be able to work from home at this time.

A full job description can be found here

For more information about the role, please contact John Burton – National Performance Manager.
