Description

The King's College London Rugby Football Club (also referred to as KCLRFC and King's Rugby) represents King's College London as the main university rugby club in rugby union competitions, notably BUCS and the University of London Union's Gutteridge Cup.
King's Rugby Football Club is one of the oldest rugby clubs in the world and traditionally one of the leading London University rugby clubs. KCLRFC comprises of 3 teams. The 1st team competes in BUCS South Eastern 2A league, the Macadam cup against the KCL medics team as well as our annual London Varsity game against UCL rugby club. Our 2nd Team has improved tremendously in recent years and now competes in the BUCS South East 5A league. We also have a social 3rd team that competes in South East 7A.
Our aim for the coming 19/20 season will be for the 1st team to win the BUCS south eastern 2A league, gain promotion back into BUCS South Eastern 1A, win the Macadam cup and to bring home the London Varsity win.

We are looking for a motivated and committed coach who has an intention to commit several years to the club, ensuring stability and continuous development within the club for all 3 teams.

Coaching Duties
This will include attending 2x 2-Hour training sessions weekly. Mondays 6-8pm (all 3 teams) and Fridays 6-8pm (1s).
This also involves pre-determining a monthly/ quarterly session plan in line with the team’s training objectives.
The Monday sessions will include players of all playing ability and Friday sessions will be centred around advanced skill development for the 1st team.
On Wednesdays the coach will be required to attend 1st team games where applicable.
The club’s culture reflects our mixed values as rugby players and aspiring professionals in our chosen field. A coach with a strong coaching philosophy and willingness to align him/herself to our club’s objectives is preferred.

Training takes place at King’s College London New Malden Sports Grounds, Windsor Ave, New Malden KT3 5HA, UK.
