SportBU is seeking an enthusiastic and pro-active team player to support the turf maintenance programme of the Chapel Gate site, a 65 acre multi-sport site. The postholder will work closely with the Head Groundsperson to maintain all natural and artificial turf pitches (and the relevant sporting equipment for use on those pitches) to the highest possible standard. Commercially the grounds need to be in the best possible condition year-round to optimise usability of the site but also protecting the long-term quality of the site. The postholder will support the Head Groundsperson in the cost-effective delivery of grounds services with all the attendant financial, time, client and customer-satisfaction pressures. The site has multiple internal and external stakeholders with differing requirements and the desire to make Chapel Gate the site of choice for other bookings.

This position will be available from August 2021.

To support and enable our staff to achieve a balance between work and their personal lives, we will also consider proposals for flexible working or job share arrangements.
