Description

The University of Nottingham has invested significantly into its sporting infrastructure, with a £40m Sports Village and substantial investment into its coaching and development support for our 75 sports clubs and 120+ active teams. The University placed 2nd overall in the BUCS league table in 2018-19 and were awarded The Sunday Times Good University Guide Sports University of the Year 2019 and 2021.

We are currently seeking an experienced assistant women’s rugby coach for the remainder of the 2020/21 season. The 1st team currently play in Midlands 1A whilst the 2nd team are in Midlands 2A.
This is a short term contract from January 2021 – June 2021, within this contract the coach, ideally holding a minimum of a Level 2 RFU coaching qualification, will help deliver an innovative and effective rugby programme to support the development of the sport within the university. The deliverer must also hold appropriate personal liability insurance. The role includes coaching and admin focused on the 1st & 2nd teams, working alongside the club committee members, Head of Performance Rugby and lead women’s coach.
The contract will be for a maximum of 4.5 hours per week at a rate of £25 per hour. In addition the coach is expected to attend matches on Wednesday afternoons for which they will be paid a match fee of £100 per game. The coaching delivery times of the contract are listed below: Mondays 7am – 8.30am Tuesdays 4.30pm – 6pm Fridays 5pm – 6.30pm Wednesdays (Fixtures – Afternoons - times may vary)
