We all know there are many benefits to getting active. From improved heart health, stronger bones through to improved brain activity and reducing stress.
BUCS is here to help give you ideas, inspiration and resources on how to get your students moving.
Through the support of Sport England, BUCS has provided funding to universities to delivery projects to get their students more active.
The projects had to focus around the following areas:
- Tackling inactivity in female students
- Using physical activity to tackle mental health issues
- Increase the number of students from low socio-economic background engaged in sport and physical activity.
This report presents the findings of research commissioned by British University and Colleges Sport (BUCS) and undertaken by the Sport Industry Research Centre from March to June 2013.
