    The aim of the post is to successfully co-ordinate the planning and delivery of the Sport England Activation fund project across the University. You will become part of the nearly created Institute of Sport and will be working from the outset of this exciting new project to increase student participation in sport by recruiting student activators and coaches and monitoring the impact on the chosen sports. Over time you will develop the programme by assessing student needs and implement coach education courses. There will be an expectancy to assist the students in taking ownership of clubs and committees to enable sport to grow further within the university linking with the performance element of the university objectives where appropriate. You will also be expected to provide support to students to enable them to improve their employability skills through the programme. This 3 year project will involve the post holder working in partnership with the student union, university staff, national governing bodies and other local sport providers so good communication and inter-personal skills are essential.

    We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic coach, who has a high level of experience in hockey. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Coach and the NTU support service providers (e.g. Physiotherapists and Strength and Conditioning Coaches) who assist in the delivery of the hockey programme.
