The BUCS AGM took place on Thursday 12th July 2012 in the Alumni Auditorium at the University of Exeter as part of the BUCS Conference 2012.

AGM 2012 - Appendix 6 Affiliation Fees Proposal

The  Returning Officer declared, under election rule 31, that the following candidates were automatically elected to the staff officer positions:

Stephen Baddeley, University of Bath  –  Finance & Governance
Fiona Dick, Nottingham Trent University – Sports Programmes, International & Disability Sport
Julia Lines, University of Bedfordshire – Professional, Regional & Sports Development

One nomination was received for the student officer positions from Jonathan Gleave of the University of Bath.  The Returning Offier declared, under rule 31, that he is automatically elected as a student officer on the Advisory Group and will take up the Student Director post on the BUCS Board.

The Returning Officer ordered, under rule 23, that BUCS hold a by-election for the three remaining student officer positions and the Chair of Disciplinary position.     

The following candidates were elected to the student officer positions:

Ali Burr (Coventry University)

Clare McWilliams (Aberdeen University)

Gary O'Brien (Brunel University)

No nominations were received for the Chair of Disciplinary post.  The Returning Officer declared that, as per rule 39, the Board now has the responsibility of filling this post by co-option.
