The BUCS Gymnastics Programme consists of a male and female artistic gymnastics championships. There are individual male and individual female competitions at grade 1, grade 2, grade 3 and grade 4 levels, along with overall male and female team titles up for grabs.
The Sport Advisory Group for Gymnastics provide the technical sport specific advice to ensure BUCS can run and develop the programme effectively. Click here to view the membership of the group.
Gymnastics is also part of the BUCS international programme and is competed at the World University Summer Games in the Artistic discipline. The international University Sports Federation (FISU) organise the World University Games (the Universiade) every two years. The Universiade is widely recognised as the second largest multisport Games in the world after the Olympics and progressively has risen to World Class in scale and standard, with over 10,000 participants from 150+ countries.

The BUCS Sport Development Team works in partnership with The Home Nation Sport Councils and with key Gymnastics partners and stakeholders in the HE sector. The aim is to provide students and members with development support and access to coaching, workforce and volunteering opportunities, participation programmes, NGB interventions and offers, disability sport initiatives plus funding and bursary opportunities.
