The BUCS Archery programme is made up of an Indoor Championships, which for the first time in 2017 is made up of two Regional Qualifying Rounds leading to a National Finals, and an Outdoor Championships which typically takes place at Lilleshall in June.
Both Championships include 4 archery disciplines; recurve, compound, longbow and barebow.
The Sport Advisory Group for Archery provide the technical sport specific advice to ensure BUCS can run and develop the programme effectively. Click here to view the membership of the group.
Archery is also part of the BUCS International programme and is competed in at the World University Championships, and was a guest sport at the 2015 World University Summer Games.
The BUCS Sport Development team works in partnership with The Home Nation Sport Councils and with key Archery partners and stakeholders in the HE sector. The aim is to provide students and members with development support and access to coaching, workforce and volunteering opportunities, participation programmes, NGB interventions and offers, disability sport initiatives plus funding and bursary opportunities. Information on current interventions and opportunities can be found under the 'Get Involved' tab to the left hand side of this page.
