The Futsal programme is one of the newest league sports in the programme. There are 4 premier leagues containing 5 teams with each team playing once in one off standalone fixtures. 16 teams progress to the knockout rounds culminating in the Team finals.
The BUCS Football Development team also looks after the development of futsal within universities, working in partnership with the FA to provide students and memebers with development support and access to coaching, workforce and volunteering opportunities, participation programmes and NGB interventions and offers, disability sport initiative plus funding and bursary opportunities. Futsal is also part of the BUCS international programme and is competed at European University Competitions. EUSA (European Universities Sports Association) events are ’tournament winners’ tournaments for Universities and allow the top Universities in the BUCS Competitions to compete against the best Universities in Europe.
EUSA events take place each year, and alternate annually between the EUSA Games (a single multi-sport event) and the EUSA Championships (a series of single-sport events).For more details on competing at this event please click on the relevant links on the sub menu.
