ARRIVAL
Please arrive plenty of time prior to your scheduled start time as all teams will need to accredit before
being allowed to enter restricted zones. Please see the accreditation document attached or visit
www.bucs.org.uk/accreditation
Upon arrival all players on the team sheet and three named officials will receive an accreditation pass. All
players will also receive a Nike BUCS Championships T-shirt.
YOUR TEAM CAPTAIN MUST PRESENT STUDENT IDENTIFICATION FOR ALL SQUAD MEMBERS. IF A TEAM MEMBER DOES NOT HAVE HIS/HER STUDENT IDENTIFICATION THEY WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PLAY. NUS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
It will only be possible to get accreditation for players that are on the team sheet. On-the-day replacements are NOT allowed.
The Accreditation area is well-marked and will be located near the car park at the entrance to the site. Accreditation will start from 8am which should give teams enough time to complete the task and have time to prepare for their first match.
CHANGING
Changing facilities will be available but entry will only be to those team members and team staff that are accredited. Changing for all teams will be in the main school building which will be clearly signposted after you have passed through accreditation.
MEDICAL
Two physiotherapists will be pitch side throughout.
SQUAD & KIT
Please complete the attached team sheet and return to the BUCS Office by no later than 12 noon on
Tuesday 2 March 2010.
PARKING
There is fairly limited parking at the venue, but the car park will be clearly signposted upon arrival. Teams cannot park in the small car park adjacent to the pavilion as this is reserved for event organisers and medical staff.
TRANSPORT
For the teams that are utilising the organised buses from Sheffield City centre to the venue (pre-organised via Si Hill) the buses will depart from (and return to) the Bus Station (Interchange) which is a short well-signposted walk from the train station.
The Buses will depart from STANDS E5 and E6. The buses will leave at 07.30am on BOTH DAYS. DO NOT MISS THE BUS – as you will have a very limited chance of getting to the venue any other way. The return bus journeys will leave from Mount St Marys at the end of the days’ play. Again, please be prompt, so we can ensure that everyone makes their train departures on time – but please don’t book early trains as the day’s play may not be finished as per the scheduled times. Please contact Si Hill on: admin@ukultimate.com if you have already booked an early departing train to try and see if we can make any special arrangements.
CATERING
Packed lunches for competitors will be provided via a voucher system which teams will receive upon accreditation. The vouchers can then be exchanged for a packed lunch in the pavilion. There will also be additional limited food and drink on sale in the pavilion. Water bottles can be re-filled at the pavilion; there may also be some water containers available pitch side.
RUBBISH
There will be plenty of bins around the venue and players are reminded to do play their part and help out tiding up the pitches at the end of their matches.
BEHAVIOUR:
All teams and supporters will be expected to behave in manner befitting to the standard of the event. For further guidance please read the BUCS statement on alcohol in the policies section of the website. Teams are reminded of General Regulation REG 8.9 which is also available from www.bucs.org.uk/rules (general regulations).
SUPPORTERS
It is vital that each institution notifies BUCS of the number of supporters likely to attend and gives the name of three people who will be responsible for supporters’ behaviour. Please inform alayna.carter@bucs.org.uk of this no later than 12 noon on Tuesday 2 March 2010.
