Entry Information for the BUCS Atemi Championships 2015–16

14th -15th November 2015

Closing Date:  9th November 2015 (Late entries may be accepted up until the 11th November 2015, however there will be an additional £5 per competitor administration fee)

Important: Every competitor that wishes to enter this competition will need an active BUCS website account in order to be eligible to compete and entered into any BUCS competition via the entry form. Each competitor needs to activate their account through the ‘student player portal’ available on the homepage of

Entry Process:  To enter the BUCS Atemi Championships, and to be eligible for BUCS medals and BUCS points, entries will need to be submitted via the online entry system, BUCScore.  Please speak to your Athletic Union as they will need to submit your entry on this system.

Additional Information Required for the BUCScore Entry Form: 
•    Competitors TJF Number (Competitors will need a valid licence number to compete at the event.  Please apply for these early to ensure that you will be able to compete) 
•    Competitors TJF Expiry Date
•    Competitors TJF Club (Competitors must be a member of an affiliated club) 

TJF licence application form.

BUCS points will be awarded for the; Men's Individual Championship, Women's Individual Championship, Men's Team Championship and Women's Team Championship. 

All competitors, in any category, can contribute to their institutions team score.

Team Points
All BUCS entrants will be entered into the team competitions.

The results for the BUCS men's team competitions will be calculated by adding together values given to the extrapolated top 4 BUCS positions for men from each of the overall championship grade categories.

The results for the BUCS women's team competitions will be calculated by adding together values given to the extrapolated top 4 BUCS positions for women from each of overall championship grade categories.

For each competition the value of 4 for 1st, 3 for 2nd, 2 for 3rd and 1 for 4th will be used for each of the grade categories.

Each BUCS member university’s team will be made up from all of your entrants, but only those who place in the top 4 BUCS places will score points towards the team total.  BUCS points will then be awarded based on the teams overall position to the top 8 teams in each of the men's and women's team competitions in accordance with the BUCS guidelines.

By submitting the competitor’s entry into this event you agree that any personal data submitted to BUCS may be processed and shared for the legitimate interests of BUCS operations and activities.  We will not share any personal data with third parties unless this is specifically necessary for the fulfilment of BUCS Operations.

By entering into BUCS Atemi Championships 2015 you hereby grant consent for your picture being taken during the competition and the image being used for BUCS and TJF Business purposes. Your image will not be sold, but may be used for future marketing or promotional purposes by BUCS, TJF and BUCS partners. If you do not wish for your image to be used, please inform BUCS Data protection Officer in writing via and respectively prior to the event.

BUCS will only process information essential to our business.  All personal information will be held and used in accordance with BUCS registration under the Data Protection Act 1998.
