Swimming Management Group
The Swimming Management Group (SMG) are a key group of volunteers in BUCS Swimming.

DAVE FLETCHER (CHAIR)
Dave was first appointed to the Swimming SMG in 1994 at the formation of BUSA. He is also a BUSA Vice President (2000 to date) and Swimming SMG Chair from 1992-2000 and 2003 to date. He was previously a BSSF Swimming Committee Member from 1988 until 1994 and BCSA Swimming Co-ordinator from 1988-1989.
Dave was an A.S.A. Council Member as BUSA delegate from 1994-2000 and in 2004, A.S.A. Council Member as North Eastern Counties Delegate from 2000 to 2003, Member of A.S.A. Boundary Commission from 2000 to date and North Eastern Counties ASA Executive Public Relations Officer. He has competed as representation level for BCSA Swimming Team in 1988 and was BCSA Swimming Team Manager in 1989.
Dave attended Trinity and All Saints College from 1985-1988 during which time he was a BSCA Championships Medallist in 1987 and 1988. Whilst at University he was SU Treasurer, Swimming Club Treasurer and Swimming Captain.
Dave is an ASA Referee, he has officiated as Judge, Timekeeper and Announcer at national and international events held in Great Britain and Europe including WUG's, European Championships, Commonwealth Games, World events and the Olympic Games. He was appointed as an independent member of the ASA Board in 2006.
MIKE PEYREBRUNE
Michael was first appointed to the Swimming SMG in 2000 and was previously involved with BUSF Advisory Committee from 1994-1997.
Mike was England Swimming Coach from 1995-1997, Swmming Coach at World University Games 1993, 1995 & 1997, Director of Swimming England from 1996-2000 and represented on various Technical and Science Committees from 1993-2000. He holds A.S.A Coaching qualifications (top level) and is also an A.S.A. Coach tutor.
Mike has competed at representation level for Scotland from 1982-1990 and Great Britain from 1985-1990. He attended UWIC from 1983-1986 and Loughborough from 1988-1989 during which time he competed in BUSF Championships winning several gold medals in individuals and relays. He was UWIC Swimming Captain from 1984-1986 and Loughborough University Head Coach from 1990-1997.
