BUCS Rugby League Final heads to Surrey Sports Park
British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) are pleased to announce that the 2014 BUCS Rugby League Championship Final supported by the RFL will be held on Wednesday 26th March 2014 at Surrey Sports Park as part of BUCS BIG Wednesday, the multi-sport event that features the culmination of knock-out competitions of, as well as rugby league, football, lacrosse, basketball, netball, squash, rugby union, water-polo, badminton, volleyball and fencing.
Leeds Met Carnegie and Loughborough will travel to Surrey Sport Park determined to leave as champions. Last year’s winners Leeds Met Carnegie will be looking to defend their title but first they face the a stern challenge from last years runners-up Loughborough. The two sides have contested numerous finals in recent years, and have overcome Northumbria University and the University of Gloucester to reach this year's final.
Kick-off is at 14:00, with the BUCS Trophy final (the knock-out competition for Tiers 1 and 2), being contested between Leeds Met 2's and South Wales Pontypridd & Cardiff - kick-off 11am.
