ENTRY PROCEDURE
Final 8 Championship teams and Trophy Finalists reach these events by progression through the knockout stages of the BUCS Basketball League Programme.
Team sheets will be issued to institutions upon completion of the Championship Last 16 and the Trophy Semi Finals. These must be completed and returned to the BUCS Office by the date given on the sheet. Further information about the Basketball Finals will be issued with these team sheets.

ARRIVAL
All teams must register at the accreditation desk at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled start of their match. Teams that have not registered 30 minutes prior to the tip-off will be deemed to have conceded the match (Subject to the Tournament Directors discretion). All teams will need to accredit before being allowed to enter restricted zones. Visit www.bucs.org.uk/accreditation for accreditation details.
Upon arrival all players on the team sheet and 3 named officials will receive an accreditation pass. All
players will also receive a BUCS Championships T-shirt.
YOUR TEAM CAPTAIN MUST PRESENT STUDENT IDENTIFICATION AND NGB AFFILIATION CARDS FOR ALL SQUAD MEMBERS. IF A TEAM MEMBER DOES NOT HAVE HIS/HER STUDENT IDENTIFICATION OR NGB AFFILIATION CARD THEY WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PLAY. NUS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
PLAYERS ARE ALSO REMINDED THEY WILL ONLY BE PERMITTED TO ACCREDIT A MAXIMUM OF 12 PLAYERS ON THE FIRST DAY OF ACCREDITATION AND ONLY PLAYERS NAMED AS RESERVES ON THE TEAM SHEET WILL BE ABLE TO BE SWAPPED INTO THE 12 MAN SQUAD BEFORE ACCREDITATION.
OFFICIALS
BUCS and England Basketball have arranged officials for the duration of the tournament. With 3 man officiating teams for both the men’s and women’s games.
CHANGING
Changing facilities will be available but entry will only be to those team members and team staff that are accredited. Please do not leave valuable possessions in the changing rooms as you will not have exclusive use of the facilities.
MEDICAL
There will be physiotherapists, a doctor and a paramedic on site at all times.
SQUAD & KIT
Please complete the attached team sheet and return to the BUCS Office by no later than 12 noon on Tuesday 8 March 2011.
CATERING
The cafeteria at the EIS will be open throughout the event.
BEHAVIOUR
All teams and supporters will be expected to behave in manner befitting to the standard of the event. For further guidance please read the BUCS statement on alcohol in the policies section of the website. Teams are reminded of General Regulation REG 8.9 which is also available from www.bucs.org.uk/rules (general regulations).
ANY TEAMS/SPECTATORS THROWING DRINKS IN A CELEBRATORY MANNER AT THE END OF THEIR MATCH WILL BE FINED BY THE VENUE FOR CLEANING OF THE COURTS THIS WILL BE A MINIMUM OF £500. UNIVERSITIES WILL BE INVOICED FOR THIS COST DIRECT.
SUPPORTERS
It is vital that each institution notifies BUCS of the number of supporters likely to attend and gives the name of 3
people who will be responsible for supporters’ behaviour. Please inform aaron.campbell@bucs.org.uk of this no
later than 12 noon on Tuesday 8 March 2011.
ENTERTAINMENT
There will be match commentary provided throughout the weekend by Hosana as well as dance group ‘Spirit’ attending the Women’s and Men’s Finals on Sunday.

Please note that by attending the BUCS Championships as a competitor, official, volunteer or spectator you agree to your image being used by BUCS and approved BUCS third parties (ie Sky Sports, BBC or ITV). This may include using your image in photographs, live and pre-recorded footage online, in print and/or television programming to promote BUCS, the BUCS Championships and BUCS event sponsors and funders.
All media and photographers will be accredited by BUCS and will have appropriate identification at the event. If, at the event, you become aware of unaccredited photographers or crews please notify a member of the event team immediately.
