‘Enhancing the student experience through sport’

University of Exeter - 10th-13 July

Call for speakers and session suggestions

This year’s conference will focus on the student experience and the positive impact sport and physical activity can have. To help shape and develop the programme we are proposing that each day focuses on a particular component of the student experience and these have been identified as:

• Participation
• Employability & Leadership
• Business of sport

Building on the success of last year’s programme format our intention is to offer a choice of 6 seminars / workshops during each breakout session. This will help to ensure that the programme has broad appeal and is of interest to Sabbaticals, Administrators, Sport Development staff, Senior Managers, Health & Fitness staff, Facility Operators and those involved in Marketing & Business Development.

In order to create a relevant, interesting and inspiring programme we need volunteers from within or engaged with the HE sport sector who would be willing to present on issues relating to sport and the student experience and share best practice with others. Presenting at the BUCS conference is an opportunity for speakers to promote successful strategies, programmes and developments as well as increase their professional profile and that of their institution or organisation.

If you feel you, or a colleague could run a session please complete the speaker profile form below and return it to susannah.attwell@bucs.org.uk by Friday 9th March or if you wish to discuss an idea please call Susannah on 01363 777785.
