John Dagata - Head Coach
Current Position: Head of Coaching Welsh Athletics 2009-Present
Iowa State University: Field Events Coach 2007-2009
UC Santa Barbara: Throws, Jumps, Multi-Events, & Sprints 2001-2007

John, who from Los Angles, California, is was based at Iowa State University and has previously worked at the University of California – Santa Barbara. He is a highly qualified coach (USATF) in throws, jumps and sprints and specialises in speed and power. With his engaging personality and energetic approach, the new Welsh Athletics appointee will provide clear leadership for the talented coaching team in Wales.

Richard Wheater – Sprint & Hurdles Coach
Richard Wheater is Head of Coaching for England Athletics and works with a small group of athletes at Loughborough University. He is involved in coach development across the UK as Event Development Manager for UKA and was formerly Head Coach at Cambridge University. His primary interest is in the running events from 100m to 1500m and the hurdles although he has worked with most event areas. Richard is slowly learning to Garden and looking forward to going to China for the first time.
