BUCS/BUSA YACHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2013

ENTRY INFORMATION

Dates & Venues:  

Registration & first Briefing:  Sunday 7th April 2013 at Sunsail, Port Solent

Racing days: Monday 8th  -Thursday 11h April 2013

Berthing:  Sunday – Port Solent
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday – Gunwharf Quay
Thursday – returning boats to Port Solent for Prize giving. 

Boats:   NEW Sunsail F40s

Entries:  

Entry fee  (Payable to BUSA)  £150    (International teams - £300)
Charter Fee  (Payable to SUNSAIL)  £1500 
Charter deposit  (Payable to SUNSAIL)  £3000

The Skipper/Helm must have a minimum of 500nm RACING experience and at least 2 crew members must have a valid RYA Day skipper practical qualification or equivalent keelboat racing experience (NOR 4.3)   If you are unsure that you meet the required standard, please contact Sunsail directly on 02392 222 221.

Teams must consist of 8 sailors, including 2 females, while racing.  Teams are suggested to list 2 reserves on their entry form.  Final crew list must be confirmed at least 3 weeks before the event.

Entries are online via BUCS Score and with the Sunsail Booking form.

Closing Date: Friday 1st February

Training: There are several opportunities to train in the Sunsail boats using their existing series of events.  Please asked them about it when booking or see the BUSA Calendar.

BUSA Sailing
Subscriptions:  All clubs must be members of BUSA Sailing. Entries will not be accepted until Subs are paid.  Subscriptions are due by the 1st November 2012.

DON’T FORGET: SAILING KIT AND YOUR BOUYANCY AID OR LIFEJACKET!!!! IT WILL BE A REQUIREMENT TO WEAR A PERSONAL FLOATATION DEVISE WHILST RACING.
