Rules and regulations
Refer to the sport specific rules and regulations for rowing. All clubs are reminded the eligibility criteria for beginner events is the competitor must be in their first year of rowing. This means they have not sculled or rowed before the current academic year in either fine or coastal boats or competed at any level. Random checks will be made during the regatta. It is recommended beginner coxes do not cox beginner crews.
BUCS has teamed up with UKAD to provide a free app on anti-doping and information on rules and regulations.
BUCS has commissioned a media agency to provide filming during the event. The media agency will be using a drone, under the supervision of a fully licensed and insured drone operator. Due to Civil Aviation Authority regulations we can only have one drone in operation on site.
The use of drones not affiliated to BUCS is strictly prohibited. Any other videographer found to be using a drone will be asked to cease filming and escorted from the premises.
Students must communicate queries to their institution. BUCS will not respond directly to students. If institutions have queries please email Hayden Arrowsmith, BUCS Event Coordinator.
