An accreditation system will be in place at The BUCS Championships. Accreditation will be used to ensure that only competitors and specific team staff have access to competition areas within a venue. For many sports, competitors will also need to produce certain sports specific documentation to obtain accreditation – please check the table below for more details. Once an individual has received a pass it must be worn at all times. A list of the sports and their specific accreditation information is detailed below.

The process for accreditation at The BUCS Championships will be as follows:

Competitors:

Team Sports
It is the responsibility of the Captain/Team Manager to report to accreditation upon arrival to accredit their team.

Individual Sports
In individual sports competitors can accredit separately however if a team arrives together it would be recommended that one representative can accredit on behalf of all the institution’s members.

Coaches & Team Staff:

Team Sports
Each team will have three passes automatically allocated for support staff (coach, manager, physio etc) named on the team sheets. Should teams require more than three passes they will have the opportunity to request extra ones which will be issued at the discretion of BUCS staff.

Judo, Karate, Fencing
Coaches will be able to accredit on the day at the discretion of the accreditation staff and numbers will be limited per institution if demand is high. In order for coaches to accredit on the day they will need to come to the accreditation desk with their athlete to complete the necessary paperwork.

IF ANY MEMBER OF A TEAM OR INDIVIDUAL SPORT DOES NOT PROVIDE THE RELEVANT DOCUMENTATION THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMPETE AND WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO ENTER THE VENUES AS A SPECTATOR. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS MADE TO THIS RULE.

Accreditation will also allow competitors and team staff to enter all other venues free of charge in order to spectate in designated areas.

Please bear in mind that whilst every endeavour will be made to make accreditation a quick process, at key times it could be busy and therefore may take some time. It is advised that teams and individuals should allow adequate time to ensure all relevant people can pass through accreditation in time for their matches/events. There will be no opportunity to circumvent this accreditation procedure.

Lost Passes:
If an athlete or support staff loses his/her accreditation pass there will be a £5.00 charge for a replacement pass.

NO ACCREDITATION, NO COMPETITION.
