Quentin Sloper, Assistant Director of Sport, Durham University
Quentin’s interest in sport stems from an extremely brief tennis career. At the age of 14 he was awarded a scholarship to Repton Independent School in Derbyshire, which boasted one of the best school tennis performance programmes in Britain. Upon finishing his school education he took at a gap year to play tennis full time in Australia.
While studying at Durham University, Quentin captained the Durham University Tennis Club, was Vice President of the Athletic Union and BUSA Administrator. This led to a sabbatical year as President having graduated with a degree in history and politics. Quentin has also served on the BUSA Board (2006-2008) and in 2007 he was elected as Director of Competitions for the organisation.
Quentin is now employed by Durham University as the Assistant Director of Sport and is currently studying through the Open University for an MBA.
