  • The WSL is The FA’s new elite league of eight semi-professional teams which will run throughout the summer, from April to September. It will be the highest level of women’s football in England and the biggest boost for the sport in its history.
     

  • Ten students have been picked to receive National Awards from the FA and BUCS in recognition for the huge amount of volunteering they done in Football and Futsal this year.

  • BUCS is seeking two new Board directors to take up positions on the BUCS Board from July 2011 for two years. The positions are strategic and directional, and will take on the portfolios of Sport and Competition, and Marketing and Branding.

  • The annual fixture between a BUCS tennis select team and the All England Club at Wimbledon will take place on Sunday 10th April at 11.15am. This is one of a series of events to help in the selection and development of the World University Games squad for China later this summer.

  • Sport England has named 42 sports projects that will benefit from a £10 million National Lottery fund to get more university students playing sport.
