London South Bank University's Men's Basketball finished in 8th place overall at the EUSA Basketball Championships last week. The tournament involved 31 national university champions from countries including Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Cyprus and Poland.
It is all systems go for the new Surrey Centre for Sport. Work officially begins today on the University site at Manor Park on the ú35 million project which is without question the most exciting sporting development in the area for decades. It will mean that the University, Guildford and Surrey will become synonymous with sporting development and excellence.

Montell Douglas (Brunel) smashed Kathy Cook's 27 year old 100m record last night in Loughborough, and effectively guarenteed her individual selection for Beijing which will be annouced on Saturday. Douglas clocked 11.05 in Loughborough after already being selected in the 4x100m relay team for Team GBR.
