    London South Bank University's Men's Basketball finished in 8th place overall at the EUSA Basketball Championships last week. The tournament involved 31 national university champions from countries including Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Cyprus and Poland.

  • University Sport

    It is all systems go for the new Surrey Centre for Sport.  Work officially begins today on the University site at Manor Park on the £35 million project which is without question the most exciting sporting development in the area for decades.  It will mean that the University, Guildford and Surrey will become synonymous with sporting development and excellence.

    Following the final Team GB announcement on 21 July 2008, the higher education sector was once again proving how valuable university sport is to the development and support of elite athletes with 57% of the team going to Beijing made up of university students and graduates. 

  • Montell Douglas (Brunel)

    Montell Douglas (Brunel) smashed Kathy Cook's 27 year old 100m record last night in Loughborough, and effectively guarenteed her individual selection for Beijing which will be annouced on Saturday.  Douglas clocked 11.05 in Loughborough after already being selected in the 4x100m relay team for Team GBR.

    As BUCS champions, London South Bank University (LSBU) men's Basketball will be the British representatives at the 8th European Universities Basketball Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia - starting on Monday!

    Three SUS Football caps have recently been awarded contracts with clubs in
    the Scottish Football League.
