Monday 22nd October saw British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) launch the impact report, ‘Placing Higher Education in the Performance Pathway’ to an audience of performance directors, university directors of sport and FISU officials. The launch of this report took place a mere 15 minutes from the Olympic park at the University of East London in the busy Sports Dock.

The individual championships will be held in Sheffield from 22-24 February 2013 as part of a new BUCS multi sport event.

EUSA (European Universities Sports Association) events are “Champions League” competitions for Universities and allow the top Universities in the BUCS Competitions to compete against the best Universities in Europe.

University of East London student Gemma Gibbons produced a fantastic performance to win a silver medal in the judo under-78kg category at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
