  • Four swimmers currently in Montreal competing in the World Championships are among a 19-strong squad named today to represent Britain at next month’s World University Games in Izmir, Turkey.

  • BUSA has today announced the final women’s basketball squad for the World University Games in Izmir, Turkey, which begin on 11 August.

  • In total five players have been named in the squad for next month’s World University Games. The final line up of singles and doubles competitors to be determined on the eve of the Games.

  • Olympian Naomi Folkard is part of a eight-strong archery team announced today that will represent Great Britain at the forthcoming World University Games in Izmir, Turkey

  • Great Britain has named a 30-strong athletics squad for next month’s World University Games in Izmir, Turkey. The squad includes a number of athletes in contention for places to represent Britain in the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki which immediately precede the Games.

  • Great Britain has named a strong taekwondo team for the 2005 World University Games which take place next month in Izmir, Turkey. Two out of the three players named are current British Champions, boosting the squad which hopes to build on the medal success of Sarah Bainbridge at the last Games in 2003.
