BUCS is pleased to annouce that the BUCS Indoor Archery Championships will be held at the Telford International Centre on Saturday 18 February 2012. We are very happy to have secured the venue of this size and one that also hosts the National Indoor Championships.



BUCS would like to thank Sports Management Group member Steven Johnson who advised on the use of the centre. On obtaining the venue Steven said;

"The use of the Telford International Centre with a capacity of over 600 would be a great benefit to the BUCS championships. The number of people wanting to participate in University archery has increased greatly in the last few years and to give them all an opportunity to compete at the BUCS Championships would be an amazing experience for all of the students involved.

We are still needing a host for the competition from a university so we can continue to be one of the few BUCS sports run by students for students. If a university or a joint effort from a few universities would be interested in submitting a bid please contact BUCS. It is a big responsibility but the experience of running a national competition is a very enjoyable one, and if requested AFS (Archery For Students) will be on had to help."

BUCS would like to offer universities the chance to organise the championships at the Telford International Centre, any interested party should contact Chris Roberts at the BUCS Office by 25th October 2011.
