Durham have retained the Victor Ludorum over three days of compelling racing at the BUCS PwC Regatta 2011.

The World University Games takes place in Shenzhen in China this August. BUCS anticipates sending 219 participants across 16 sports and has a track record of producing medallists and world class performances. The World University Games has played host to Olympians and World Class performers from higher education across the world and has proved to be an important stepping stone and learning experience for those lucky enough to compete. In order to service these competitors BUCS has worked to establish a professional support team, from physiotherapists, medical officers, media team and HQ staff in order to deliver a medal winning environment.

A powerful and masterful performance from Leeds Met Carnegie women’s rugby team secured the BUCS Rugby Union Championship title today at a sun swept Twickenham Stadium. Last year’s runner-up Leeds Met defeated Exeter 34 – 5 at the home of English Rugby RFU Twickenham.
