    As part of their ongoing basketball development programme the English Universities Men’s Basketball Squad attended a three team tournament in Durham between 7-8 June where they played the Scotland Senior Men’s Squad, and the local national league team the Durham Wildcats.

    European victory for Volvo RYA Keelboat crew

     Charlotte Lawrence and her crew of fellow Volvo RYA Keelboat Programme sailors Katie MacKenzie, Maia Walsh, Hannah Kemlo and university teammate Lavinia Paternoster won the 2008 European University Women’s Match Racing Cup in La Rochelle last weekend (23-25 May).

    The final of the BUSA women's cricket Championships took place on Monday at Oxford's University Park.  Loughborough completed a historial fifth consecutive victory as they outfought Leeds Met Carnegie in the Oxford sunshine.

    World cycling champion Victoria Pendleton and Olympic silver medallist Shelley Rudman have today launched ‘Girls4Gold’ - a mass recruitment drive for young athletic women by UK Sport and the English Institute of Sport (EIS). The aim is to uncover hidden talent with the potential to rise to the podium at London 2012 and beyond.
