The 2012 BUCS Barefoot Wine Downhill MTB Championships took place for the very first time at Rheola, Neath, South Wales last weekend as 350 riders travelled from all over the UK to represent their universities on the technically demanding run considered to be within the top five most challenging courses in the UK.

Both Hartpury and Durham were shown tremendous support by their fans who made the journey to the capital to watch them compete in the BUCS men’s Rugby Union Final at RFU Twickenham. In glorious sunshine the Durham and UWE Hartpury fans created a real party atmosphere and cheered and sung for the entire duration of the match.

UWIC secured the women's Rugby Union Championship title beating Leeds Met 30 - 5 at RFU Twickenham.

The best student rugby union teams in the country will compete at Twickenham Stadium in British Universities & Colleges Sport Men’s and Women’s Rugby Union Championship Finals on Wednesday 28th March.
