  • Student leaders from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have offered their support to London's bid to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.

  • Hannah Leyland is the lucky recipient of a year's supply of adidas bodycare products. The 22-year-old from Worcestershire won the 2004 competition hosted by BUSA and sponsored by adidas bodycare.

  • Natalie McGoldrick has won the Gold medal at the 2004 World University Equestrian Championships.

  • Olympic silver medallist Debbie Flood has won the 2004 Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year Award. The twenty-four year old rower was a member of the women’s quad in Athens that missed out on gold by just half a length to Germany.
