Brunel Open New Athletics Arena with Stylish Victory. Wednesday 19th May produced an afternoon of glorious sunshine for Brunel University to open their new £2 million athletics arena in Uxbridge, West London.

The BUSA Long Course Rowing Championships saw 744 University rowing crews from 63 different institutions competing at Novice, Junior, and Championship level congregate at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham to compete in the largest Regatta in Britain.

BUSA Chairman, Lenny Barry, today announced that he would be retiring from the position with effect from the AGM on 18th June 2004. After four years in post he will not be standing for re-election.

There was drama this week at Lindrick Golf Club in Nottinghamshire when the current BUSA Golf Champions, Loughborough, were defeated 6-3 in the golf Championship semi-finals by their sporting nemesis, Birmingham University.
