There’s a hero’s welcome waiting for a University of Plymouth student athlete who has won his first world championship medal.

Szeged, Hungary, 30 August 2006 – Great Britain won Team Gold at the World University Squash Championships for the second time ever, beating France 2-1 in the Final.

The 10th World University Futsal Championship kicked off on Monday in Poznan, Poland. 

Great Britain floated comfortably into the final of the World University Team Squash Championship with a 3-0 win over South Africa in today's (Tuesday) semi-finals in Szeged, Hungary.

BUSA today listed its Men’s and Women’s teams to represent Great Britain at the 11th World University Golf Championships staged at Circolo Golf Torino, Italy from the 5th – 9th September 2006.

University of Bath student Harry Wiltshire has taken gold at the World University Triathlon Championships over the weekend in Lausanne, Switzerland.
