  • Leeds Met Carnegie lift BUSA Crown 30/03/07

    Leeds Met Carnegie continued their dominance of Student Rugby League last Wednesday with a double success.  Their First team defeated a spirited, but ultimately outgunned St Mary’s outfit 66 – 10 in the Championship final with their second team matching them with a 34 – 14 success of their own against Sheffield Hallam in the final of the Shield.

  • South Africa Under 19's v British Universities 30/03/07

    The scorecard for the British Universities Cricket Team vs South African Under 19's can be obtained by clicking here.  The match took place at the Tshwane University of Technology’s Technikon Oval which eventually ended in a draw.

  • SUS v EU Netball 30/03/07

    Monday 2 April sees the English Universities Netball Squad travel to Edinburgh to play against the Scottish Universities side in an eagerly awaited match.

    Prior to this game, the English Universities side will play the Scottish National team at 7.30pm on Monday evening before the SUS v EU fixture on Tuesday at 12.30pm.

  • Leeds Met Scholar gets England call up 30/03/07

    Leeds Met student Carla Cantrell has received her first call-up to the England senior women’s football team. Carla, who is in her first year of a BA (Hons) in Physical Education at the university’s Carnegie Faculty of Sport & Education, will fly to the training camp in La Manga, Spain, next month

  • Loughborough Dominate Festival of Hockey 30/03/07

    Loughborough took home three trophies at the BUSA Hockey Finals at Highfields Hockey Centre in Nottingham yesterday. Loughborough Men completed the double over Midlands rivals Birmingham in both the Championship and Trophy Finals. Durham also overcame Birmingham, in extra time, in the Women's Championship Final. Stirling Men and Newcastle Women also won their Shield Finals.

  • UWIC beat Leeds Met for place in Rugby Final 29/03/07

     
    There was high drama at Highfields, Nottingham as the emerging talent in Women’s Rugby Union Leeds Met Carnegie challenged the reigning champions UWIC for a place in the Twickenham final.
