English Universities Head Coach, James Ellis has announced his squad who will play their Welsh & Scottish counterparts at the British University Games.

Real World Awards 2008 have £16,000 for students who have made the most of their time at university and clubs/societies who have improved over the last year. Winners will enjoy national press coverage and unbeatable CV prestige, as well as making a real difference to a project you’re passionate about.

Great Britain will be sending a team of 11 to next months World University Cross Country Championships held in Mauquenchy (Firges-Les-Eaux) – France.

The curtain came down on Sunday on the first ever British University Championships after four days of competition in Sheffield.  Seb Coe commented that ‘our universities have a rich tradition for producing some of the country’s finest athletes’ and this proved to be the case in Sheffield as some of the best young talent shone on the multi-sport stage.

The final showdown of BUSA Champions to meet in Sheffield at the first ever BUCs fell to netball and what a showdown it was. The match saw two big guns of University netball, Loughborough and Bath, playing to be crowned BUSA Champions 2008. The EIS hosted a large crowd of supporters from both sides, although Best Supporter, dedicated enough to paint her whole body Blue and Yellow has got to go to Serena Guthrie of Team Bath.
